Childhood trauma & abuse
Sufferers of childhood abuse may have suffered from one or many forms of abuse some of which may have been intensely invasive and others may have been more subtle.
What can be said with certainty is that from conception and birth the embryo, infant and child is born vulnerable, dependant and fearful: where advantage is taken of these dependant, states whether wittingly or unwittingly, the child may suffer a legacy of more intense fear, uncertainty and potentially trauma.
This may or may not make sense to you and it may be more or less true. It may not even be consciously apparent.
My work with you would be to support you as you explore these early life issues during which I would hope to provide an environment which that child might have expected, and should have received.
