– Working with me
Do you feel you need some counselling or an initial chat? If you do please contact me. Following your communication we would agree an appointment for an initial interview. This is intended to be a time when you can explain a little about yourself and the difficulties you are facing while also coming to my practice to meet me and decide if you would like to work together.
During the meeting I would expect to ask you some questions about your life as it is now and how it has been in the past. I may take notes during that meeting; I would not usually take notes during formal counselling sessions.
– The admin bit
- In advance, I will send my terms and conditions which covers payment, cancelled appointments and holidays. Once you have familiarised yourself with these terms, you may have questions which we can discuss at our initial meeting.
- If you would like to commence counselling, we will both sign the terms and conditions and you keep a copy. Then we an agree a date and time for a regular weekly session, until the counselling ends.
- Anything that you say or takes place during counselling sessions is confidential and will not be disclosed to a third party without your express consent.
